18 seater bus plunges into Owena River in Ondo

A fatal accident has occurred this afternoon in ondo state involving an 18 seated bus that dived into Owena river along Akure-Ondo road in the state.

According to reports, the driver of the bus coming from Ondo axis and heading to Akure lost control as a result of over speeding and rammed into the owena river.

It was also gathered that five of the passengers including a child have been rescued by motorists and men of the FRSC while some of the passengers have lost their lives at the scene.

The number of the casualties is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing in this report but some dead people were seen inside the river and rock around beside the scene.
