No fewer than five persons have been reportedly killed in a bloody clash between two rival cult groups in Ikere Ekiti today.

The ancient town was thrown into confusion when some suspected cultists engaged in a free for all fight which eventually led to about five persons losing their lives in the bloody encounter.

Many other persons have also been reported to have sustained various degrees of injuries in the said clash. The cause of bloody face off is yet unknown as at the time of filing this report.

Police Public Relations Officer ASP Sunday Abutu who confirmed the incident said one person has been arrested while officers are on the trail of others.
