Rangnick blocks top star from leaving Man Utd

Ralf Rangnick, Manchester United’s interim manager, has assured goalkeeper Dean Henderson that he will not leave Old Trafford this season, according to MEN.

Henderson only recently agreed to a new five-year contract.

Since then, he has struggled to receive consistent game time and is currently ranked second behind David De Gea.

The 24-year-old has made two starts, one in the EFL Cup and the other in a Champions League dead-rubber match.

Henderson has been linked with a transfer away in several reports, with Tottenham Hotspur reportedly keeping an eye on the situation.

Despite this, according to the Manchester Evening News, Rangnick has already informed Henderson that he will continue with United.

The goalkeeper is reported to be unable to accept the position as he seeks senior experience in order to gain a place in England’s World Cup squad next year.
