Ebonyi: Two people killed in car accident

Two people were killed in a car collision on the Abakaliki-Obubara route in Ebonyi State’s Abakaliki Local Government Area.


Mr Anthony Okore, Sector Commander of the Ebonyi Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), confirmed the incident on Monday, saying it happened around 7.15 p.m. on Sunday.

“Around 7.25 a.m., FRSC personnel arrived. The incident occurred on the Abakaliki-Obubara road, namely at the Obubara by Amichi junction.

“A Toyota Camry with the license plate GGE 699 HH collided with a motorcycle with the license plate M350 EPE.

“The Camry lost control of its speed, crashing into the Okada rider and his passenger, who perished instantly.”

“Both the vehicle and the Okada were transported to Abakaliki’s Central Police Station (CPS).” Okore explained.
