Airtel Africa Plc reports 22.5% growth in revenue pass months

The telecom giant Airtel Africa Plc has released its Unaudited Financial Statement for the first nine months of 2021, displaying a 22.5 percent increase in revenue from $2.85 billion in 2020 to $3.49 billion in the current period.


The nine-month net profit increased by 97.3 percent, from $261 million in 2020 to $514 million this year.

The increase in net profit is due to a larger operating profit in the current period compared to the previous quarter. In the present time, operating profit increased by 43%, from $800 million to $1.15 billion.

However, the company recorded a 17.90 percent increase in revenue to $1.22 billion in Q4 2021, up from $1.03 billion in the same quarter of 2020, while profit after tax increased by 54.4 percent to $180 million.
