One injured, two rescue unhurt in Anambra road crash – FRSC official

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra says that one person was injured in a brake failure crash that occurred in the state on Tuesday.

A driver identified as Mr. Amaechi Arouonu with a 911 commercial Tipper and registration number: AJL279XA was involved in a Serious road traffic crash today 12th April, 2022 at about 15:58hrs.

The cause of the crash was attributed to brake failure.

According to eyewitness account, the tipper driver failed brake, and knocked down the pedestrian while crossing the road.

3 male adults were involved in the crash.

None killed, one injured(the pedestrian) and 2 rescued unhurt.

FRSC rescue team from Upper-Iweka Outpost to Boromeo Hospital for treatment.

FRSC Rescue team on ground managed the traffic and ensured obstruction caused by the crash was removed.

The Sector Commander Anambra State Corps Commander Adeoye Irelewuyi wishes the injured victim quick recovery.

He Urged Anambra State motorist to service and ensure their vehicles meet up to minimal safety standard before hitting the road, and give full concentration to driving.

“Road Safety is everyone’s business; drive to stay alive.” he added.
