2023: APC Calls for extension of voters’ registration, additional Centres

APC: Osun caucus releases its own timetable for exercise

..Say’s thousands maybe

By Achadu Gabriel, Kaduna

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), North-West zone has called for the extension of the Voters’ Registration exercise.

APC also called for the creation of additional registration centres, saying that doing so would ease difficulties that were being faced by the eligible voters.

The call for the extension, is partly due to mass rush by eligible voters to get registered ahead of the 2023 general elections, according to the Zonal Publicity Secretary, North West of APC, Musa Mailafiya Mada.

Musa Mailafiya Mada who made the call while addressing newsmen in Kaduna on Friday, explained that thousands of eligible voters might be disenfranchised as they could not beat the dateline.

According to him, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should look inward and extend the exercise deadline

Said he; “We want to call on INEC to look inwards and extend the exercise so that people will get their PVCs. INEC should know that the whole exercise is about people. So it will not be unfair to disenfranchise them.
