Soludo renames State’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry

Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Soludo has renamed the State’s Ministry of Ministry of Commerce and Industry to Ministry of Industry.

Governor Soludo gave approval for the renaming of the Ministry during the Executive Council Meeting, held on Monday, in Awka, the State Capital.

The was disclosed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Oburime , in his release to the press on Tuesday.

He said the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Dr. Obinna Ngonadi would henceforth be addressed as the Commissioner for Industry.

“The Trade and Commerce aspect of the Ministry will, until further notice, be domiciled under the Governor’s Office. By implication, all activities relating to trade and commerce should be channeled to the Governor’s Office.

This decision is to enable the Ministry of Industry focus on the industrialization agenda of Mr. Governor, and for greater performance.”
